Prestige Fleet Servicing announces Fleet Show winners

A ccountant Kevin Avery of RaceTech, which provides a range of technical and broadcast services to the horse racing industry including photo-finish solutions, was the winner of the speedway time challenge on the Prestige Fleet Servicing stand at the Silverstone Fleet Show.

There was no photo-finish in this race however, as Avery finished ahead of all other competitors to win a pair of hospitality tickets to an elite speedway event of his choice at a variety of locations in the UK.

In the speedway 'time challenge' visitors pitted their starting reactions on a real speedway bike linked to a simulator, against those of a professional speedway rider from the Revolution Speedway team.

The time challenge was carried out on 2015 speedway bike in full race specification, powered by a 500cc single cylinder engine that runs on methanol and with an acceleration to match that of a Formula One racing car.

In a separate prize draw for a new Apple iPad also held on the Prestige stand, the winner was fleet manager Eric Bristow of Peterborough-based Hobart UK, market-leader in commercial catering equipment, manufacturing cooking equipment - under the Bonnet brand - warewashers and food preparation machines for the foodservice industry.
