Prestige Fleet Servicing sees success for first-ever roadshow

The first-ever Prestige Fleet Servicing national roadshow for independent service centres and suppliers has been voted a great success.

The inaugural event, at the Lea Marston Conference Centre, Sutton Coldfield, attracted an audience of dozens of service centre operators from Prestige's national network of more than 260 independent garages which provides low-cost, added-value servicing to fleet operators throughout the country, including some of the UK's largest leasing companies.

Also in attendance were key supplier partners to the Prestige network, including Euro Car Parts, Fuchs Lubricants, Integro Doodson Insurance, Autologic, Pagid Braking, Euro Garage Solutions and Crosland Filters, who discussed their latest products and services with attendees.

Service centre operators also learned of a new customer satisfaction tool, Net Promoter Score, which Prestige uses to measure the performance of its centres and ensure they are providing top-level service quality to fleet and leasing customers.

And they were given an update on the Prestige service booking system, Unity, detailing a number of improvements made in 2015, together with plans for future improvements and new functionality in 2016.

Prestige Managing Director, Colin Bate, who provided attendees with an overview of the company and it future growth plans, said:"It was a great opportunity to meet many of our service centre partners who provide Prestige and its fleet customers with such an excellent level of service."

Amongst suppliers attending, broker Integro Doodson gave an update on the progress of the combined motor trade insurance policy it provides for service centres and which is seeing growing demand.

Simon Harrison, Client Director at Stockport-based Integro Doodson, revealed that service centres had saved over £50,000 on insurance premiums since the scheme began in March with an average saving of 24% over previous premium levels paid.

Fuchs Lubricants, meanwhile, provided an overview of the complexity and development of oil technology and the importance of using the correct oils at servicing schedules.

Delegates were informed of increased validation requests from manufacturers regarding the types oils used to support warranty claims and the dangers of using incorrect oils in modern engines.

All Prestige service centres are able to purchase oil from Fuchs at nationally agreed discounted rates, together with additional benefits such as deferred payments and a more environmentally friendly and cost effective way to dispose of oil packaging.

Feedback from delegates was very positive. David Whittaker, owner of Birmingham-based Whittaker Fleet Care, said: "It was good to meet the Prestige team, and the event and venue were excellent. We're keen to grow our business with Prestige's support."

Following the success of the inaugural event, Prestige now plans to hold further roadshows during 2016.

The rapidly-expanding Prestige service network now stands at some 266 independent outlets, and latest additions include service centres in Heckmondwike, Huddersfield and Selby in Yorkshire, Colchester, Essex, Farnham, Surrey, Plymouth, Devon and Wednesbury, West Midlands.
